DAY 01 : CHIANGRAI - HOUEISAY - PAKBENG

This morning you have an early morning transfer from the airport to Chiang Khong, the exit point from Thailand . After passing through immigration, you cross the Mekong River to HoueiSay in Laos where your Lao guide will be waiting for you at the immigration point. After completing border formalities, you board a ready traditional boat for the trip down the Mekong River . Serene, timeless Laos is one of Asia 's most unvisited, unchanged countries. This once-powerful kingdom known as Lane Xang (Million Elephants) was founded in the 14th century with the help of the Khmers, and it went on to become one of the largest kingdoms in Southeast Asia until its demise in the late 19th century. Bisected and bordered by the Mekong River , omnipresent symbol of Indochina, Laos today is an amalgam of cultural influences; Theravada Buddhism, animism, France, and the socialist ideal. It is a peaceful place, and the legendary hospitality, resilience and friendliness of the Lao people is much in evidence. Laos is Old Asia preserved. As your journey downriver you will stop at some tribal minority villages such as the Hmong , Yao and Khmu. Upon arrival in Pakbeng, we visit local market ; experience daily lifestyle of colorful hill tribe traders exchanges their goods.

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL - VIENTIANE

On arrival in Vientiane Capital, you are met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. After a short rest, we start to visit the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa , we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument , which is well known as Vientiane 's own Arc de Triumph, sunset by the Mekong Riverside and late evening. DAY 02 : VIENTIANE - LUANGPRABANG

We board a short afternoon flight to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia . The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos . On arrival, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham , Wat Mai , we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River.

DAY 01: YANGON

Arrive in Yangon - This decaying colonial city, one of Asia’s most fascinating relic’s is probably best described by what it does not have – traffic jams, fast-food restaurants, freeways, smog, lots of tourists and flashy discos. More than other city in Asia, Yangon still reflects the “Romance of the East” as evoked by the writings of Conrad and Kipling.

After clearing Immigration & Customs, you’ll be met & welcomed by your local guide and transfer to your Hotel located in the centre of Yangon. Check in & leisure at the rest of the day to relax after long Int’l flights.
