VISA TO VIETNAM

Vietnam entry visa is strictly requested to all foreign travelers with valid passport, irrespective of nationality except passport holders from Japan, Korea, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and ASEAN countries.

Visa is obtainable either at Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad or upon arrival at the entry gates of Vietnam such as the airports, borders, etc. The normal processing takes 05 business days.

The visa stamping fee for single entry is US$25 but it can be charged differently depending on the Vietnam Embassy in the specific countries.

Travel permits are only required for trips to off-limit areas such as border provinces, military bases and remote islands.

To get entry visa at Vietnam Embassies / Diplomatic Missions abroad

Foreign visitors need to book the tours through a local travel agent, and need to have a pre-approval letter from an authorized Vietnam agency. Vietnam Embassies / Diplomatic Missions will issue the visa if the above mentioned letter is attached.

Please prepare the following documents if you get visa upon arrival

  • A Passport Photocopy

  • 1 photos (3 x 4 cm)

Visa application form which is delivered on the airplane or can be gotten easily at the entry gates

US$25 Cash for tourist visa fee (Paid directly to the Immigration)

The Vietnam Visa upon arrival is issued officially at the following ports of entry:

By Air

  • Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi

  • Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

  • Danang International Airport in Da Nang

By Land / Train / Boat

Travelers can travel to/from Cambodia by land through Lao Cai, Mong Cai, Huu Nghi, Dong Dang Borders with China, Moc Bai, Xa Mat, Vinh Xuong Borders with Cambodia, Lao Bao Border with Laos

Vietnam Visa Validity:  15~30 days from the date of issue, *NOT* from the date of entry, depending on your trip’s length
